MOMO

From a long time of experimenting with homemade tools, borrowed public space, masonry techniques, collage, computer code and seriality, Momo has created a distinctive visual language. Most of the time this language finds its way to paintings that are shown in exhibitions all over the world, but he sure found his way venturing into the world of football scarves!!

About the project

The League Extraordinaire is a football scarf project that was established in 2015 by Dutch design studio Kern. Every year four of Kern's favorite artists are invited to join The League Extraordinaire (TLE). The number of scarves produced is limited to a one time run for which fans need to pre-order, with a minimum of 60.

The scarves are made from high quality yarn. The type of scarf that both hooligans and members of VIP lounges wear to show their club-love. Every scarf is produced in the EU in a single run, sent in a solid carton box that fits through a standard letter box, tagged with a numbered edition-label.
