Antigoon

Boy wonder Antigoon hacks plotters and machines and transforms their slick outputs into something extremely tactile, gritty, rough, authentic. From felt-tip pens to fire extinguishers – Antigoon's toolbox contains many unconventional items. He considers the drawing machines he builds to be equal partners in his creative process. In this collaboration between human and machine, the binary logic of a computer program and the imperfections of rigid mechanics interact with the programmer and his aesthetic. Antigoon generates elegant geometric forms in which inconsistencies such as smudges, bleeds, and drips are not avoided, but rather embraced.

About the project

The League Extraordinaire is a football scarf project that was established in 2015 by Dutch design studio Kern. Every year four of Kern's favorite artists are invited to join The League Extraordinaire (TLE). The number of scarves produced is limited to a one time run for which fans need to pre-order, with a minimum of 60.

The scarves are made from high quality yarn. The type of scarf that both hooligans and members of VIP lounges wear to show their club-love. Every scarf is produced in the EU in a single run, sent in a solid carton box that fits through a standard letter box, tagged with a numbered edition-label.
